HANLYN DAVIES (Wales/USA)
Hanlyn Davies, painter and printmaker, lives and works in New Haven, Connecticut. Born in Wales, U.K., he studied at the Swansea College of Art and received his MFA from the Yale University School of Art. Davies has exhibited extensively in the USA, Europe and Asia. His work has received significant critical acclaim and is represented in numerous public and private collections. Davies received Artists Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Massachusetts Arts Foundation, the Offset Institute in Philadelphia, and Yaddo. He was granted an Honorary Fellowship from the University of Wales Swansea and received a Distinguished Teaching Award from the University of Massachusetts, where he has taught since 1970.
